#12 - Japanese American Reparations: Lessons for Black America (live)
When people say the U.S. government will never pay reparations for its racist atrocities, we call bullshit. It’s already happened!
We sat down with Kathy Masaoka and traci kato-kiriyama, amazing activists who shared the untold story of America’s own concentration camps during World War II - when 125,000 Japanese Americans were incarcerated for no better reasons than greed and racism. We learned how the J.A. community fought for and won reparations, and why racial solidarity is always a key for social change.
Recorded with a live audience at Greenway Court Theatre in Los Angeles.

Coming soon: The Racial Sleep Gap
Black Americans are way behind on sleep - getting one hour less than white people every night on average. The main reason? Our country’s deep history of racism, dating back to slavery times and continuing today. Not enough sleep leads to all kinds of health and other problems including shorter life expectancy.
Join us with pioneering sleep expert Dr. Dayna Johnson who breaks it all down - including what reparations can look like to bridge the racial sleep gap.
